Jared Bryant

Pastor
Jared has been with Resurrection from the beginning, but stepped into the role of Senior Pastor in 2017. Having grown up in northeast Atlanta, Jared attended UGA where he met his wife (in the O-House Dining Hall) and they settled in Athens and never left. He attended seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary (Atlanta) and pursued additional counseling training with the Christian Counseling & Education Foundation (CCEF). Jared & Kaitie have two teenage boys (Ethan & Andy) and they love to speak in Nacho Libre quotes.

Ashlie Johnson

Operations Administrator
Ashlie has been part of Res since its birth in 2010. She’s the classic “church lady.” Believe it or not, she ENJOYS creating spreadsheets and organizing information. She has 4 grown kids: Lucy, Noah, Levi, and Rose, and is loving this phase of parenting. On the weekends, she can be found on the tennis court, hosting friends, or working in the yard. Hiking and camping bring her lots of joy as well.

Abby Bartelt

Children’s Ministry Director
Abby and her husband, Bryce, have been at Resurrection since 2019. Prior to becoming the children's ministry director, Abby taught grades K-2nd in both public and private schools. She now happily spends most of her time with her two spunky kids, Nora and Hayes. They enjoy living out in the country in the small town of Bostwick. Abby enjoys house projects, thrifting, cooking with Nora and all things gardening and growing food.

Heather Parham

Nursery Director
Wife to John and mother to 2 elementary aged girls, the Parhams joined Res in 2020 and Heather has been the Nursery Director since 2021. Heather grew up in neighboring Oglethorpe County. She graduated from UGA with a degree in Romance languages (Spanish & French) and went on to metro-Atlanta to begin her professional career before the Lord circled she and her family back to the Classic City. She loves her family, traveling (but also staying at home), UGA football, the Redcoat band, kids books that point to the Gospel, parenting books that are actually helpful and practical, and podcasts that are interesting or also sometimes nerdy.

Joanna Morgan

Music Director
Joanna Morgan grew up in Delaware but moved to Athens in 2013, where she met her husband, Cody. They have been married since 2015 and have three amazing kids--Ian, Haven, and Ransom--and have been part of the Res Fam since 2021. She has been involved with church music practically from birth and it is an honor to lead every Sunday!
